“Save-A-Sale” Courtesy Call – UMG has developed a program that is able to immediately contact a customer via telephone as a result of on-line shopping cart abandonment.

Program Execution

In many cases a consumer has populated all personal information fields, including address and phone number, during the on-line order process, but abandons their shopping cart prior to completing the purchase. UMG’s Save-A-Sale program triggers an outbound call to the customer, within a day after the shopping cart abandonment, to encourage them to order the core business item by offering an incentive such as a free accessory, fashion rebate, special discount and/or free shipping. Upon acceptance of the original item, a UMG product upsell is initiated.

Program Benefits

Immediate phone call, funded by UMG, catches customer while item they wished to purchase is still top of mind. Helps partners sell more products and encourage incremental sales down the road. Saves core business sale that would have been lost otherwise.
